Dr. Donnacha Daly

Dr. Donnacha Daly is an accomplished technology executive with over 25 years experience in leading research and innovation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. In addition to his role at Gopf, he is the Head of AI & Machine Learning studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and a Founding Board member at the Lucerne AI & Cognitive Community in Switzerland. Donnacha has a strong track record in ideation and creation of business value in new ventures, as a founder or enabler at various European start-ups. In his previous role he was Group VP of Business Innovation at Landis+Gyr, a listed multinational in the smart-grid sector, where he was responsible for global portfolio management and active in corporate venturing and M&A / IPO projects. Donnacha is passionate about the application of technology and engineering to important societal and economic challenges and is convinced that AI is a game-changer for solving the problems of humanity.
